El Camino Building Supply

El Camino Building Supply was started in 1975, in Atascadero , California for the purpose of distributing Lath, Plaster, and Drywall products to the contractor, on the Central Coast of California, by Charles (Clint) Johnson and Allen Litten. Clint retired in 1984, and Allen and his sons Brian and Jon have continued running it ever since.

After a few years, the product line was expanded to include a complete line of Masonry, Tools, Hardware, and Acoustical.

El Camino Building Supply, ( ECBS ) was built on the principal of knowledge of its products, pride in our service, and personal contact with our customers. The motto at El Camino Building Supply is, "You can build on our experience."
We believe that our success has come from a commitment to our customers to provide the best possible service, at the best prices, with the latest products available, while maintaining the largest inventory on the Central Coast.

We take pride in our community, and our success has allowed us to support and give back to the community in many ways both financially and materially to our local schools, clubs, youth sports, and many more worthwhile causes.

We are a family owned business, with many long term employees, and long term relationships with customers, vendors, and associations. We hope to continue a tradition of an independent business, offering superior service and personal contact, in an age of big box stores, and multi yard national accounts.
