Elkhorn West Construction, Inc. opened its doors for business on February 2nd, 2005 in Elkhorn, Nebraska. Recently, February 2011, Elkhorn West moved our office and shop location into Omaha, NE where we feel we are more centrally located to fit our customer’s needs. For years, the employees of this company have collaborated to work on projects both small and large throughout the United States. With over 70 years of combined experience, Elkhorn West Construction has worked on medical facilities, universities, public & private schools, government facilities, churches, multi-unit housing, and much more. We are dedicated to bring diligence, constancy, and satisfaction to our customers.Tom Gurnon, Owner and President, has worked his entire career in the general construction industry. Tom has served a various local construction associations and boards to help the direction of the local industry. Tom most recently served as the Associated Builder’s and Contractor’s Cornhusker Chapter President in 2011 and continues to participate in many committees that promote local construction progress. Construction has always appealed to Tom, who learned a strong work ethic from his father working at the South Omaha Terminal Railroad. “You grow and evolve, and learn things by watching and listening.
