Mark Gettle erected MarNew Construction Ltd. in 1983 under the name Getem Construction with two partners in 1983. The company was known as Getem Construction until 2000 when the partners dissolved; at this point Mark reworked the business to be the sole owner, with its name changed to MarNew Construction Ltd. The company continued operating as a sole proprietorship until it was incorporated in 2006.

Currently Mark Gettle is not involved in the day-to-day operations. However his two sons, Marques and Nathan, operate the company with Marques as the foreman (inter-provincial Journeyman Carpenter) and Nathan as the administrative support (Bachelor of Arts in Economics combined with Business, University of Regina). Marques is also, currently apprenticing three of our employees (one first year, one second year, and one fourth year). Throughout the year we employ between four to eight employees to assist our company is providing professional, high quality, efficient, clean workmanship.



Xian Hao Liu joined the MarNew team in 2011. Mr. Liu has over 30 years experience in the construction industry and provides both the knowledge and capital to expand our business. He has been the lead on a variety of developments in his home city of Anhui, China. His experience extends to projects ranging from 20,000 m² residential buildings to 60,000 m² industrial factories. With this experience Mr. Liu is vital to the growth and further satisfaction of our customers.
