Saywell Contracting Ltd. was founded by Sheldon Saywell in 1998. That same year he was approached by a client and asked to tender the remediation of a “leaky condo”. His efforts were successful and in 1999 he undertook his first remediation project. The Leaky Condo crisis was still unheard of on Vancouver Island and was just beginning to become public.RIMG1317 Saywell Contracting was one of the first general contractors on the island to undertake a “leaky condo” project. We have since excelled at the forefront of this industry and have to date completed more than 20 remediations.

We became known not only for the quality and excellence of our work but also for the relationships we have built with strata owners and management firms. Our philosophy of building relationships extends to everyone we come into contact with.

After substantial growth between 1998 and 2005, Sheldon Saywell decided to diversify the company and Saywell Contracting undertook their first new multi-residential project, a 35-unit condominium. Since then the company has completed and continues to construct numerous multi-residential projects, commercial buildings, tenant improvements, as well as, continuing to undertake building envelope remediations.
