Tightly compacted soil deprives your lawn of air, moisture and nutrients. The "core" aeration technique removes plugs of compacted soil to help restore these. The resulting healthier lawn will be more resistant to diseases and lawn pests.

Why should I aerate my lawn?

Tightly compacted soil deprives your lawn of air, moisture and nutrients. The "core" aeration technique removes plugs of compacted soil to help restore these. The resulting healthier lawn will be more resistant to diseases and lawn pests.

Why should I dethatch?

A heavy layer of decomposing grass material will crowd healthy growth. Removing the unwanted material will lessen bare spots and under performing growth.

Why should I fertilize?

Fertilizer applied in the early spring and mid-summer will assist your lawn's healthy growth during the hot, dry summer months. Fall fertilizer with phosphorus and nitrogen assists the lawn to remain strong throughout the winter months and ensures necessary nutrients are there to promote vigorous growth in the spring.

Why should I lime?

Lawn grasses as well as many garden plants grow best when the pH of the soil is slightly acidic. The soil of a good, healthy lawn had a pH between 5.8 and 6.5. If your soil has a lower pH, lime may be added to ensure the appropriate pH levels are achieved.
